The first country to benefit from the energy saving technology was Nigeria since 2015 which currently has over 40,000 family cookers circulating in homes and institutions spread across the country. In 2018, industrial Panda cookers were introduced and are used in prisons, schools and hotels. They are also used for production of parboiled rice which is widely used. This implies the country is already benefitting from reduction in carbon emissions as registered by the UNFCCC.The projected supply of panda cookers in the next 3-5 years are 15.000 of 200-350-500 liter capacity which will translate to a reduction in carbon emissions of 1.5 to 2 million tones every year.
